Medical Infrared Thermal Imaging

Approved by the FDA over 20 years ago, Breast Thermography can detect signs of possible cancer or pre-cancerous cell growth up to 10 years earlier than can be detected using other procedures such as mammography or ultrasound.

Best of all Thermography is totally non-invasive: no compression, no radiation and no contact with tissue, no side effects and can be used for women of all ages...even during pregnancy. It can even be used repeatedly without any danger of cumulative radiation exposure.

At Holistic Health & Medicine we are proud to offer the best in Thermographic Imaging. Using state-of-the-art equipment, our Board Qualified Medical Thermographic Technician takes a series of 14 images of the breast from every angle to assure that no areas are missed. Some of the images are color thermal images that measure metabolic heat coming from the surface of the skin. Another series of black and white or vascular images is taken that has the potential to show angiogenesis, which is new blood vessel growth. Angiogenesis commonly precedes a malignant growth by years.

We are pleased to offer Full Body Thermographic Imaging as well, which includes up to 33 images, both color and vascular, that can indicate areas of concern for the patient.

We have had patients that have Thermographic Images taken of just the hands because of previous injuries. The images also may indicate Thyroid irregularities and have even shown dental infections that had no physical pain at the tooth site but were affecting the lymphatic system as to cause swelling and soreness at a lymph node fare from the infection at the root of the tooth. Thermographic Imaging is also helpful to suggest spinal subluxations and muscle inflammation as the result of joint malalignments or injuries.

Another important part of the Thermography process is accurate reading of the images. Our images are sent to be read by a specialist in Thermographic Imaging. He gives a detailed report for each set of images that we take. Our Thermographer reviews the report and images and then they are given to Dr. Fera for further review. Your health is the most important aspect of our practice and as you see, we go to great lengths to insure that your images are taken correctly with technical excellence and read by one of the most experience clinical thermographers in the world.
